
Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha held a series of strategic bilateral meetings with senior executives from leading global gaming and technology companies on the sidelines of the New Global Sport Conference 2025 held in Riyadh.
According to the Ministry’s announcement on X.com, the discussions focused on strengthening partnerships to localize technology industries, support Saudi creative content, and build a thriving gaming and esports sector in line with Vision 2030 goals.
Al-Swaha met Shuji Utsumi, Sega President, to explore how the company’s expertise could support local projects and national talent. With Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO, talks centered on developing advanced digital experiences to boost local game production. Discussions with Dylan Jadeja, Riot Games CEO, highlighted opportunities to host major tournaments and nurture Saudi esports talent. The minister also met Steve Boom, Amazon Vice President, to discuss cooperation in gaming and live-streaming platforms.
Through these meetings, Saudi Arabia continues to position itself as a global hub for gaming and esports, advancing its digital economy and expanding its role on the international stage.
