Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Egyptian edtech startup Farid Academy announced its expansion into Saudi Arabia, opening a central operations office in Riyadh as part of a wider Middle East growth strategy.

As per a recent press release, this move comes ahead of a planned seed funding round in Q4 2025 and follows last year’s $250,000 pre-seed raise.

Founded in 2024 by entrepreneur Mahmoud Hussein, Farid offers live, one-on-one sessions focused on mental health and character development for Arab children aged 3 to 18, along with training programs that certify youth and graduates as development coaches.

As part of its Saudi launch, Farid signed a three-year strategic partnership with the Amad Association for Human Capacity Development, valued at SAR 4.5 million. The collaboration will train and certify 500 Saudi university graduates and deliver specialized educational programs to more than 4,000 children and adolescents, emphasizing character building, critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The initiative includes 48 training programs and workshops and a framework to measure educational and social impact, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 focus on human capital and youth empowerment.
