Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The second Google Cloud Saudi Summit concluded in Riyadh after welcoming more than 2,500 attendees and revealing new data on the company’s growing role in the Kingdom’s digital economy.
In an official press release, Google noted that more than 590,000 Saudis have been trained in digital and AI skills to date. The initiative will visit 10 cities, with training set to begin in April 2026.
Bader Almadi, General Manager of Google Cloud Saudi Arabia, said Google generated over SAR 31 billion in economic value in 2024 through Search, YouTube, Google Play, Google Cloud, and advertising tools. He added that the company is deepening its work with key sectors, including through its strategic partnership with Qiddiya and the launch of a Cloud Centre of Excellence to support the city’s digital infrastructure.
The event also showcased several AI applications, including the Ministry of Health’s new AI-powered Smart Health Coach, developed with Lean and integrated into the Sehaty app to provide citizens with instant health guidance using Gemini on Vertex AI. Attendees also tested job-specific AI agents through an interactive demo zone.
