Fifth edition to focus on supply chains, investment, and sustainable mining

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources unveiled the program for the fifth annual Future Minerals Forum (FMF), set to take place in Riyadh from January 13 to 15 under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

As per the Ministry’s official press release, the forum will be held under the theme “Dawn of a Global Cause.”

Khalid Al-Mudaifer, Vice Minister for Mining Affairs, said the forum continues to strengthen the Kingdom’s role as a global platform shaping the future of the mining and minerals sector. He noted that FMF has become a key venue for advancing dialogue on responsible supply chains, attracting investment, and addressing global mineral supply challenges critical to economic development.

The forum brings together governments, industry leaders, financiers, and knowledge partners to focus on securing minerals needed for the next phase of global growth, with an emphasis on economic value for producing countries, sustainability, and institutional readiness. Al-Mudaifer highlighted ongoing efforts to close financing gaps in infrastructure and exploration, including collaboration with the World Bank and capacity-building initiatives through a Network of Centers of Excellence coordinated by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.

Ali Al-Mutairi, FMF Executive Director, said the 2026 program is designed to move from dialogue to implementation, with the International Ministerial Roundtable remaining the forum’s flagship event.

The forum is expected to attract participants from around 100 countries, feature more than 400 speakers, and welcome over 20,000 attendees, alongside the launch of new investment, innovation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
