Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: ASMO, the supply chain services joint venture between Saudi Aramco and DHL, is expanding its logistics and procurement operations across Saudi Arabia as it prepares to serve a wider customer base beyond its parent companies.
Speaking to Asharq Business, Nico Schuetz, CEO of ASMO, said the company is building a network of six strategic locations across the Kingdom. ASMO currently operates in the Eastern Province and has warehouse facilities near Riyadh and in Jazan, while additional facilities in King Salman Energy Park (SPARK) and Jubail are scheduled to begin operations over the coming year.
Schuetz said the company launched a pilot procurement program nearly a year ago and is now sourcing tens of thousands of products supporting Aramco’s core operations, particularly in mining and major projects. ASMO also plans to launch an e-commerce platform next year and gradually expand procurement services to customers beyond Aramco.
In addition to logistics, warehousing, and transportation services, ASMO is developing supply chain financing solutions aimed at improving cash flow across the value chain. The company offers inventory financing and accelerated payment services for partners, with plans to introduce additional financial solutions as it continues to grow.
