The approval expands ACWA Power's role in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and electricity export infrastructure

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia granted ACWA Power exclusive rights to export green hydrogen and its derivatives produced in the Kingdom to international markets, marking a major step in the country's clean energy ambitions under Vision 2030.

As per an official announcement on Tadawul, the government approval authorizes the company to export products including green ammonia, green methanol, and green fuels, while also assigning ACWA Power to develop projects for producing, transmitting, and exporting renewable electricity to European and Arab markets.

The mandate comes as global demand for low-carbon energy accelerates and is expected to strengthen Saudi Arabia's position as a global exporter of clean energy.

ACWA Power currently manages a portfolio of 111 assets across 16 countries, with SAR 468.9 billion ($125 billion) in assets under management. The company is also a key developer of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project, one of the world's largest green hydrogen initiatives.

The new mandate expands ACWA Power's role in Saudi Arabia's renewable energy strategy and supports the Kingdom's long-term economic diversification and sustainable energy export goals.
