Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a number of new initiatives at LEAP 2026 aimed at expanding Saudi Arabia’s local technology production, AI capabilities and innovation ecosystem in support of Vision 2030.
The company, alongside Intel and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), launched the “Saudi Made, Developed, Deployed” initiative, which seeks to accelerate the development, validation and commercialization of AI and digital transformation solutions in the Kingdom.
The program will combine Saudi-made infrastructure with locally developed applications, intellectual property and implementation services to create market-ready solutions for priority industries. Founding software partners include ShaheenAI, MOZN and OmniOps, while Alnahil Computers will lead systems integration and deployment.
HPE is also expanding its “Saudi Made” portfolio to include the HPE Alletra Storage MP B10000 and X10000, broadening locally produced infrastructure available to organizations handling data-intensive workloads and AI applications.
The company is further expanding its relationship with alfanar, which will serve as its manufacturing and assembly partner in Saudi Arabia. The enhanced offering will allow customers to receive locally built HPE infrastructure that is pre-integrated, configured and tested, helping reduce deployment complexity and accelerate implementation.
In another major development, HPE and Intel announced plans to establish a Saudi Innovation Center at HPE’s new Riyadh offices. The center will provide an environment for customers, startups, solution providers and ecosystem partners to test and validate technologies, collaborate on solutions and demonstrate Saudi-developed innovations.
The center will also support technical training and developer enablement, with the broader objective of helping local technologies progress from development and validation toward commercial deployment.
The fifth edition of LEAP 2026 runs from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for technology and innovation.
