
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is poised to host the third edition of the Future of Semiconductors Forum on 5 and 6 June, gathering the Middle East’s semiconductor industry leaders, policymakers, and experts.
Organized by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), this two-day forum will discuss the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and explore localization opportunities within Saudi Arabia.
The Future of Semiconductors Forum 2024 aims to prioritize semiconductor tech self-efficiency to bolster the Saudi economy and advance strategic local and global collaborations for shared progress in semiconductor technologies.
The forum's primary focus is to discuss the localization of e-chips and strengthen the Saudi digital economy.
Key speakers and senior officials will participate in the upcoming forum, including Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih, President of KAUST Tony Chan, President of KACST Munir Eldesouki, Acting Head of the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) Mohammed Al-Otaibi, and others.
Moreover, the forum targets promoting research collaboration and exchanging best practices in semiconductor development and manufacturing.
