Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Ibrahim Ezmigna Regional Director of Operations – GCC at Aramex told Sharikat Mubasher that the company eyes continuous expansion inside the Saudi Kingdom and beyond.

Inside the Kingdom, Ezmigna continues, Aramex plans to deploy more of its distribution points and ‘mini hubs’ in remote areas that are far from main cities, adding that Aramex possesses over 1000 distribution points in Saudi Arabia.

The official made these statements on the sidelines of the Seamless Saudi Arabia 2024 Conference, which kicked off yesterday in Riyadh City and runs from 22 to 24 October.

Ezmigna added that Aramex utilizes multiple modern technologies as part of its operations inside and outside its warehouses. For example, automation is employed in sorting shipments which ensures reaching the best quality with the least possible costs.

As for distribution or ‘last mile deliveries’ process, Aramex uses AI techs in tactical planning to design the best routes for delivery personnel, and in sequencing for an accurate follow-up and tracking of shipments.

The official also added that Aramex is dedicating more automated warehouses to examine shipments either with sorting machines or with the help of robotics.  Ezmigna asserted that Aramex is keen on achieving sustainability and exploiting the latest innovations in the market, as it relies on autonomous vehicles for deliveries in specific areas in the Kingdom, besides drones, which will go live by the end of the 4th quarter of this year.

Running until 24 October, Seamless Saudi Arabia 2024 is expected to welcome around 10,000 visitors and more than 350 expert speakers who will share insights on crucial topics such as fintech innovations, digital payments, e-commerce strategies, and the transformation of retail experiences.
