Cairo – Sharikat Mubasher: Egyptian semiconductor startup InfiniLink raised $10 million in seed funding, a milestone that underscores investor confidence in its mission to revolutionize optical communication for AI-driven data centers.

According to a recent press release, the funding round was spearheaded by global semiconductor leader MediaTek, with participation from Sukna Ventures, Egypt Ventures, and angel investment firm M Empire Angels.

This backing strengthens InfiniLink’s capacity to refine its cutting-edge technologies and expand into new markets.

InfiniLink is transforming data center communications with its mixed-signal analog and photonics-based solutions, designed to enhance efficiency while cutting energy consumption. At the heart of its innovation is the Integrated Optical Transceiver Chip (iOTC) for silicon photonics, enabling ultra-fast data transmission with minimal signal loss. As AI and cloud computing drive unprecedented data demands, InfiniLink’s breakthrough technology addresses the need for high-speed, energy-efficient communication systems.

The fresh capital will accelerate R&D efforts, production scaling, and global market expansion, while also helping the company attract top engineering talent and forge strategic partnerships in the semiconductor and optical communication sectors.

Founded in 2022, InfiniLink is on a mission to establish Egypt as a leader in semiconductor innovation. With surging global demand for advanced optical communication, this investment brings the company closer to positioning Egypt as a regional hub for next-generation technology. By leveraging its expertise and pioneering solutions, InfiniLink is set to play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-powered data centers worldwide.
