Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Sports signed two deals with local and global partners to develop, build, manage, and operate two new hotels at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah.

The agreements were signed with Kushan Real Estate Development Company, Zuhar Fayez Partnership Consultants, and IHG Group, the ministry announced in a recent statement.

The deals were signed in the presence of Badr Al-Juraissi, Acting Director General of Investment at the Ministry of Sports, Marwan Al-Qaidi, CEO of Kushan, Zuhair Fayez, Chairperson of Zuhar Fayez Partnership, and Haitham Mattar, Regional Managing Director at IHG Group.

Under these agreements, Zuhair Fayez Partnership will provide design and engineering consultancy services, while IHG Group will provide hotel services.

The two hotels will span 16,000 square meters and feature 585 rooms, fitness and sports clubs, swimming pools, international restaurants, retail stores, a dedicated fan area, and conference and event spaces.

The deals target developing the infrastructure of King Abdullah Sports City, building world-class establishments following the highest engineering standards, and offering integrated services designed to meet the needs of international sporting delegations and other visitors.

This collaboration underscores the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the role of the private sector in developing the sports industry in the Kingdom, while supporting environmental improvements through infrastructure development.
