
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia is set to host the 21st session of the UNIDO General Conference in Riyadh from 23 to 27 November, which will gather policymakers, industry leaders, experts, and innovators from around the world to engage in dialogue on the future of global industry.
The Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) organized a promotional event in Austria, at the margins of the fifty-third session of the Industrial Development Board of UNIDO, to showcase the Kingdom’s preparations and commitment to hosting this landmark event, a recent statement revealed.
The event served as an official invitation to Member States and other partners to participate in the upcoming General Conference. It was attended by Khalil Salamah, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs, Abdullah Tawlah, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Austria, Gerd Müller, Director General of UNIDO, and numerous delegations from UNIDO’s Member States.
In his remarks, Salamah emphasized that hosting the upcoming UNIDO General Conference reflects the Kingdom’s position as a regional and global industrial hub and underscores its pivotal role in leading global dialogue on sustainable industrial development.
The 21st UNIDO General Conference will reinforce Saudi Arabia’s position as a manufacturing and technology hub in the region, showcase its industrial transformation journey, and highlight the objectives and achievements of the National Industrial Strategy.
