Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) authorized VistaJet as the first international private jet operator permitted to conduct domestic flights within the Kingdom.
The authorization reflects the Kingdom’s dedication to attracting investments and enhancing its position in the global aviation industry, GACA stated in a press release today.
This milestone also marks a significant milestone towards advancing the objectives of the Aviation Program under the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS)
Awad Alsulami, Executive Vice President for Economic Policies & Logistics Services at GACA, affirmed that authorizing VistaJet represents a milestone in enhancing general aviation in Saudi Arabia. “This step will foster greater competition, stimulate sector growth, and raise the quality of services for private aviation customers in the Kingdom and across the region,” he added.
For his part, Nick van der Meer, Chief Operating Officer at Vista, commented: “The approval and recognition from GACA marks a significant milestone for Vista’s operations in the Kingdom. By expanding our domestic capabilities, we are not only strengthening our regional presence but also amplifying the efficiency of our global fleet.”
According to the company’s statement, VistaJet has served the Saudi market for more than 15 years and has witnessed a proven growth in the Kingdom. During the first half of 2025, the operator saw a 32% increase in VistaJet Program Members in the Kingdom year-over-year.
