Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The 21st Session of the UNIDO General Conference (GC21), transformed into the Global Industry Summit (GIS) 2025, will take place in Riyadh from 23 to 27 November, with the participation of all 173 Member States.
Held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre with the theme ‘The power of Investment and Partnerships to Accelerate the SDGs,’ GIS 2025 will bring together industry leaders, pioneering industrial companies, investors, and innovators from around the globe.
The summit will serve as a leading global platform for the future of industries in the digital era, stimulating private sector development, mobilizing investments, and accelerating the contribution of manufacturing capacities to help achieve the Vision 2030 agenda.
It will showcase best practices in economic and industrial transformation and feature bilateral meetings between participating delegates and interactive sessions to deliver concrete, actionable takeaways for participants.
Prior to the summit, the 11th Ministerial Conference of the Least Developed Countries (LDCMC11) will take place on 22 November, serving as a high-level platform to advance the industrial agenda of LDCs.
The GIS 2025 Summit will highlight how innovation-driven industrial development serves as a powerful catalyst for inclusive economic growth, social well-being, and environmental sustainability, demonstrating the transformative power of industry to improve lives and shape a better future.
In September, the Saudi Ministry of Industry and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) jointly launched the official website for GC21 to offer official registration via the global INDICO system.
