Cairo – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Hossam Seifeldin, Executive Vice President and CEO of Capgemini in Egypt, said the company serves a wide range of global markets, including Europe, the United States, and GCC countries, with Saudi Arabia among its key regional markets. He noted that Capgemini operates as a global delivery center, providing technology and consulting services to major enterprises rather than individual clients.

Speaking to Sharikat Mubasher on the sidelines of AI Everything MEA 2026, Seifeldin highlighted Capgemini’s focus on empowering young talent and preparing the next generation of entrepreneurs. As part of this commitment, the company is organizing a hackathon during the event, specifically targeting university students. The initiative focuses on key pain points in the tourism sector, encouraging participants to develop AI-driven solutions such as virtual tour guides, instant translation tools for tourists at heritage and tourist sites, and other technologies aimed at enhancing sector performance. He explained that six teams will compete in the hackathon, with Capgemini providing them with access to the necessary technical resources and expertise. The teams will be shortlisted, with the top three winners set to receive employment opportunities at Capgemini.

Seifeldin concluded by emphasizing that developing human capital and empowering young professionals remains a top priority for the company, stressing that talent is the primary pillar for building resilient and competitive industries.

The inaugural edition of AI Everything Middle East and Africa, the world's all-AI expo and summit, kicked off today in Cairo, bringing together global technology companies, policymakers, investors, startups, and AI experts from more than 60 countries.

This two-day event is organized by GITEX GLOBAL under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
