Doha – Sharikat Mubasher: Qatar’s iQtech, a company focused on advanced medical simulation technologies and extended reality (XR), announced it has secured its first investment round, though the financial details were not disclosed. As per a recent press release, the funding is expected to support the company’s growth plans and expansion within the Qatari market.
The round attracted participation from Selexi, known for its computational assessment solutions in Europe, and Uniero, a deep-tech firm operating between Italy and Qatar. Their involvement is set to strengthen iQtech’s capabilities in assessment technologies and automation systems.
The investment will primarily accelerate the development of EsculapioVR, an AI-powered medical training and evaluation platform created by iQtech. The platform combines immersive virtual reality simulations with artificial intelligence–based performance assessment tools, aiming to modernize medical education and improve practical clinical training.
iQtech plans to use the funding to enhance its technological infrastructure while expanding the reach of EsculapioVR across Qatar and the wider Middle East and North Africa region.
The company was developed within the innovation ecosystem of Qatar Science & Technology Park, whose incubation and support played a significant role in helping the startup reach this investment milestone. The new funding marks an early step in iQtech’s efforts to advance healthcare training through extended reality technologies.
