
Doha – Sharikat Mubasher: Qatar Development Bank (QDB) announced it has opened applications for its 2026 Pre-Accelerator Program, inviting early-stage startups from around the world to apply.
The program targets incorporated startups with a minimum viable product (MVP) or early-stage product that are looking to validate market demand, gain traction, and strengthen their investment readiness. Applications will remain open until September 5, 2026.
Running from 5 October to 25 November, 2026, the program will combine online workshops, one-on-one coaching, market-readiness support, and in-person sessions in Doha. Participants will also receive mentorship and startup visa support at no cost.
Selected startups will have the opportunity to pitch for funding of up to $75,000 from QDB in exchange for a 6% equity stake. The bank aims to invest in 10 startups each year through the initiative.
The program is open to angel and pre-seed stage companies, regardless of whether they have previously raised capital or generated revenue. Eligible startups can be based across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America and South America, provided they are currently raising or preparing to raise investment.
Priority sectors include B2B SaaS, artificial intelligence, fintech enterprise solutions, supply chain and logistics, agritech, edtech, proptech, advanced manufacturing and digital transformation.
