Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) revealed a new investment in billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX during the second quarter.
According to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) 13F filing, the PIF owned over 154 million Class A shares in SpaceX, valued at $26.34 billion as of 30 June.
In April, the Saudi sovereign fund unveiled its talks with SpaceX to acquire an anchor stake of nearly $5 billion in the company’s IPO.
As the most valuable and fastest-growing sovereign wealth fund (SWF) worldwide, the PIF manages more than $900 billion in assets, with a portfolio of more than 220 companies. It holds significant stakes in major US-based companies, such as Claritev (1.28 million shares), Electronic Arts (24.8 million shares), Lucid Group (177.1 million shares), and Uber Technologies (72.8 million shares).
