Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Energy (SE) signed three strategic agreements aimed at building up the electricity infrastructure needed to support Saudi Arabia's growing network of data and artificial intelligence centers.
The deals, announced during the company's participation at LEAP 2026, are designed to ensure the Kingdom's digital economy has a reliable and resilient power supply as it expands, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The first agreement was signed between National Grid SA and HUMAIN to supply electricity to an AI data center project in Riyadh, covering the project's electrical infrastructure and future energy needs.
Saudi Electricity Project Development Company (PDC), a subsidiary of Saudi Energy, signed a separate framework agreement with center3 to establish a strategic partnership on future data center and energy infrastructure projects across the Kingdom. The agreement is intended to support the sector's growth and strengthen the link between energy supply and digital infrastructure.
PDC also signed a memorandum of understanding with Huawei to deepen cooperation on data and AI center projects, digital infrastructure, and related energy solutions, including the exchange of engineering and technical expertise.
The fifth edition of LEAP 2026 runs from 31 August to 3 September at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The event is expected to attract more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for technology and innovation.
