Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Snowflake, the global AI and data cloud company, announced its plans to invest $300 million to expand across Saudi Arabia through 2030.
During LEAP 2026, the AI company revealed that its Saudi expansion strategy includes opening a regional headquarters in Riyadh and the launch of two additional cloud regions during the second half of 2026, according to an official statement released by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
Snowflake also plans to train 25,000 Saudis to strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a regional hub for data and cloud computing.
The expansion across Saudi Arabia reflects Snowflake’s commitment to supporting and empowering Saudi organizations to meet local data regulations with faster, cost-efficient, secure, and compliant data solutions.
It is worth mentioning that the third day of LEAP 2026 witnessed announcements totaling $857 across funding rounds, investment funds, and strategic expansions in cloud computing, data centers, and technology manufacturing.
This four-day event gathered thousands of companies, startups, investors, and technology experts. It also attracted more than 1,000 global speakers and experts, 1,800 technology companies, 600 startups, and 1,900 investors and venture capital representatives.
