Riyadh – Exclusive Sharikat Mubasher: Walid Alballaa, General Partner at Sukna Ventures, a Riyadh-based early-stage VC fund, stated that Biban Forum 2024 has become a global forum for innovation and entrepreneurship within Saudi Arabia.
On the sidelines of Biban 2024, Alballaa said that his participation in the forum’s activities gave him the opportunity to get to know a group of innovative global and local companies.
He further added that the Entrepreneurship World Cup competition witnessed distinguished innovative participations capable of finding solutions to many of the problems facing the world, noting that the competition included innovations in the health, housing, and education sectors, as well as in relation to the security and safety of children in the virtual world.
Alballaa confirmed that the forum enjoyed high levels of quality in various aspects, whether in terms of the quality of participating companies and the quality of investors, as well as the quality of discussion sessions and agreements that were signed at the forum.
During the five-day event, Sukna Ventures signed an agreement with Tawaref Company, which helps entrepreneurial companies enter the Saudi market and benefit from the outcomes of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
It is worth noting that Sukna Ventures is a Saudi investment fund that focuses on supporting digital transformation companies and enabling entrepreneurs to create value at all stages of building and growing their startups.
According to Alballaa, the forum’s activities included discussions between a number of non-profit associations interested in developing entrepreneurship, and it also witnessed the intensive presence of a large number of global investors who spoke about angel groups or individual angel investment and how to benefit from the experiences available in the world.
Biban 2024, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), takes place in Riyadh from 5 to 9 November, with the participation of more than 1,350 local and international exhibitors, over 250 speakers, and more than 150 enablement entities from around the world.
It targets creating a stimulating environment, raising administrative, financial, and technical competencies, and motivating the owners of ideas to launch their projects by allowing them to meet with local and global experts and share knowledge with key decision-makers and investors.
