
Dubai – Sharikat Mubasher: Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) announced a landmark AED 2 billion hyperscale data centre in partnership with Microsoft.
This announcement was unveiled by the company during Dubai AI Week 2025 and witnessed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Set to be developed in phases, the facility will significantly expand Dubai’s digital infrastructure, with Microsoft as the primary tenant. The project is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to reinforce its global leadership in AI and digital innovation.
The initiative aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, which aims to build national capabilities and accelerate AI adoption across sectors.
du’s new data centre will bolster capacity for cloud services and AI applications, supporting both local and international demand. The announcement comes as part of Dubai AI Week, a five-day global gathering of over 180 speakers and 140 events focused on shaping the future of artificial intelligence.
