
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce issued more than 71,000 commercial registers in the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, with female-owned organizations accounting for 47% of the total number.
According to the latest report released by the ministry, Riyadh Province secured 23,269 registers in Q2-26, followed by Makkah Province with 16,346 registers and the Eastern Province with 10,009. Together, the three provinces represented 69% of the issued registers.
The construction sector led the list with 33,404 commercial registers, accounting for 47% of the total number, while the wholesale and retail sector came second with 21,753 registers, representing 30% of the total commercial registers issued during Q2-26.
Additionally, the report revealed that the total number of existing commercial registers in the Kingdom surpassed 1.9 million in Q2-26, up by 12% from the same quarter in 2025. Female-owned organizations accounted for 46% of the total existing commercial registers.
These figures underscore the ministry’s continued efforts to simplify and modernize the process for obtaining and maintaining commercial registers, in alignment with Vision 2030’s economic diversification goal.
