Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The Federation of Saudi Chambers announced initiating the establishment of the first-ever joint Saudi-Kuwaiti Business Council, marking a significant step toward enhancing economic collaboration between the two nations.
The announcement followed a meeting in Riyadh between Hassan Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, both sides explored the investment landscapes in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, emphasizing opportunities for mutual growth. Discussions included plans to host an investment forum in Riyadh and steps to facilitate Kuwaiti participation in the Hafr Al-Batin Investment Forum 2025.
Al-Huwaizi described the meeting as a gateway to a new era of economic partnership between the two nations, underscoring the potential for fruitful collaboration between their business sectors.
Kuwait’s ambassador expressed optimism about achieving comprehensive economic integration, praising Saudi Arabia’s evolving investment climate, which has positioned the Kingdom as a global investment hub.
Trade relations between the two nations have grown steadily, with total trade volume reaching SAR 10 billion in 2023. Of this, SAR 8.4 billion comprised Saudi exports, while SAR 1.6 billion represented Kuwaiti imports.
