Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Debashish Mukherjee, Partner and Regional Lead, Consumer and Retail, Middle East & Africa at Kearney, the leading global management consulting firm, said that Saudi Arabia is witnessing a boom in the delivery market thanks to a multiple reason.
The official told Asharq Business that this boom is attributed to the diversity in e-commerce aspects beyond food, the logistic activities between businesses, and the high demand for e-services among young populations.
Accordingly, the market is expected to witness a 15-20% growth annually, achieving a SAR 40-45 billion value by 2030.
Speaking of the challenges facing delivery apps Mukherjee added that this market would constantly have to handle the continuous pressure of the need to minimize delivery time and fees, which affects the economic state of any business, in addition to other legislative-related challenges, Saudization, and security & data protection challenges.
