Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia has emerged as a global frontrunner in artificial intelligence (AI), according to the newly released Stanford AI Index Report 2025. The report highlights the Kingdom’s rapid progress in the sector, with standout achievements across multiple metrics, driven by strategic national investment and the efforts of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

Most notably, Saudi Arabia ranked first globally in empowering women in AI, boasting the highest female-to-male ratio in AI-related academic publications. This milestone reflects the country’s commitment to gender inclusivity in one of the most critical sectors shaping the future.

The Kingdom also placed third worldwide in the growth rate of AI-related jobs, underlining the dynamic expansion of its AI labor market and the increasing demand for local and international talent.

In terms of talent acquisition, Saudi Arabia secured the eighth spot globally for its ability to attract skilled professionals in the field of AI. This ranking underscores the success of its initiatives to create an innovation-friendly environment and competitive opportunities for experts.

Additionally, the report ranked Saudi Arabia fourth globally in the development of leading AI models, signaling strong local capabilities in producing cutting-edge technologies that can compete on a global scale.
