Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s stc Group signed a new five-year Master Frame Agreement with Ericsson, extending a long-running partnership focused on strengthening Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure and accelerating the adoption of next-generation connectivity across the Kingdom.
Under the agreement, stc will deploy Ericsson’s latest technologies across its mobile network, including advanced 5G hardware and software, cloud-native platforms, managed services, and end-to-end network support, according to a recent press release.
The deal builds on the two companies’ collaboration since the early rollout of 5G in Saudi Arabia in 2019 and is expected to speed up nationwide 5G expansion and the introduction of more advanced capabilities.
The partnership will support the rollout of 5G Standalone and 5G Advanced technologies, alongside Massive MIMO and Ericsson Radio System solutions, enabling higher performance, greater flexibility, and new digital use cases for both consumers and enterprises. stc will also leverage Ericsson’s managed services to improve network efficiency and reliability.
Abdullah M. Alowini, Supply Chain VP at stc Group, commented: “This long-term agreement with Ericsson reinforces stc’s commitment to driving digital transformation and innovation in Saudi Arabia.”
Meanwhile, Håkan Cervell, Vice President and Head of Ericsson Saudi Arabia, said: “We know how committed stc Group is to ensure that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 becomes a reality. We share that commitment and will continue to work closely and productively with stc to deliver digital infrastructure to drive innovation and economic competitiveness goals - both for stc as a valued customer and for the vital role they have to make Saudi Arabia Vision 2030 a reality.”
