Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Ministry of Investment (MISA) issued 9,018 investment licenses during the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, marking a 252% increase from nearly 2,561 licenses in the same quarter in 2025.
This brings the total number of investment licenses issued during the first half (H1) of 2026 to 16,645, according to the ‘Economic and Investment Monitor Q2-2026’ report released by MISA.
Collectively, construction, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail trade sectors accounted for nearly 66% of the total number of issued licenses in Q2-26. The construction sector led the list with 2,628 licenses, up 218% from 827 licenses in Q2-25.
The wholesale and retail trade sector came second with 2,337 investment licenses, trailed by the manufacturing sector, which secured 1,009 licenses in Q2-26.
This growth reflects the increasing investor confidence and the sustained appeal of the Saudi investment environment, aligning with Vision 2030’s objectives of positioning the Kingdom as a leading investment destination.
The report also showcased the ministry's efforts to enhance the Saudi investment environment and improve the investor experience. During Q2-26, the ministry provided more than 83,000 services through outreach centers, more than 70,000 services through the website, and over 26,000 services through the one-stop shop center.
Moreover, MISA organized and participated in several local and international events across various investment fields to promote local investment and attract foreign investment.
