Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Aramco Ventures and the Olayan Group participated in a $150 million oversubscribed Series A funding round for Emerald AI, a leader in transforming data centers into flexible assets for the power grid.
The round was co-led by Energize Capital and DCVC, and witnessed participation from several leading financial and strategic investors, the company unveiled in a statement yesterday.
The new investment will help Emerald AI to scale commercial deployments worldwide with its customers, including leading AI firms, data center operators, and electric power utilities.
Emerald AI transforms data centers into intelligent, responsive assets that are good grid citizens and protect energy affordability and reliability for local communities. The Emerald Conductor software platform dynamically orchestrates AI computational workloads and on-site energy resources to control a facility's power draw when the grid is stressed while protecting the performance of critical AI workloads.
The company partnered with Silicon Valley Power to launch the first Flexible Load Interconnection Program in the US, which grants data centers expanded grid access in exchange for verified, dispatchable flexibility.
It now serves customers across the AI power value chain, from electric power utilities to leading AI companies to global data center operators, with additional large-scale deployments planned for later this year.
