Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: The second Healthcare Leaders Summit in Riyadh, organized by Forbes Middle East, concluded its activities, which brought together around 2,500 healthcare leaders and professionals to discuss Saudi Arabia’s healthcare transformation, with a focus on innovation, digitalization, investment, and sector resilience.
Held under the theme “Health at the Heart of National Progress,” the one-day summit highlighted the Kingdom’s shift from healthcare strategy to implementation, including efforts to improve service quality and efficiency, increase private-sector participation, and accelerate advanced technologies.
Discussions covered pharmaceutical localization, supply chain resilience, workforce development, and partnerships, alongside emerging areas including artificial intelligence, precision medicine, biotechnology, genomics, advanced diagnostics, and therapeutics.
Speakers also examined the growing use of AI, robotics, and automation in care delivery, as well as connected healthcare models supported by interoperable data and virtual care.
The event featured senior figures including Khalid Al-Buraikan, Deputy Minister of Health for Investment at the Saudi Ministry of Health; Nasser Al Huqbani, CEO of Health Holding Company; and Ahmed Aljedai, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of SPIMACO.
The summit also emphasized developing Saudi talent and leadership to support the Kingdom’s evolving healthcare ecosystem.
